Hi!
I'm camilla, an 18 year old from Bristol, England realising the irony of being a socialist (U.S. translation- "commie") and having a site littered with adverts. Sorry about that.
Anyway I have been writing poetry since I was about 11 but only really got into it when I left school and had a lot more free time on my hands.
I don't pretend to be some kind of depressive angst-ridden teenager who spends all their time in their room writing sad poems. My life is pretty good at the moment so my poems such as they are can be about anything- modern life, poison, glam rock music, people being eaten, people being turned into things and double glazing salespeople included.
My influences include Oscar Wilde, Richey Edwards (missing not dead), Carol Ann Duffy and John Cooper Clarke which is a bit of a mixture so probably accounts for the random collection of poems I write myself.
