Dark mist sorrow Enveloped by a moist mist deep inside
The fog of quiet sorrow rising up from tears
That are each waiting their turn to be cried
Condensating behind both a sad windows
A wrenching tear in the fabric of my life
How can dawn just keep coming?
How can dusk nonchalantly keep falling?
Why can't everything stop so I can sleep
So oblivion can carry everything away?
The hours drag me unwillingly through the day
Why won't they just leave me alone?
In the dark mist the tears of God mingle with yours
In the quiet he stops the world to listen to you
His unflinching gaze tenderly holds you close
Kissing your brow gently as you sleep
