The Resting Place

Living life's not always easy...
In fact, at times it's downright hard.
Pain and hurt can be unbearable
And would be without the Lord.

We sometimes feel God's disappointed
In the weakness we display...
But He desires to be our strength...
Thus He designed us in this way.

We wear the frailty of humans...
Composed of water and of sod.
Ruled mostly by our own emotions
And desperately in need of God.

There is such freedom in surrender...
When we just give it all to Him.
Placing our problems at The Cross
Offers us such peace within.

Makes no difference what we're holding...
Whatever burden it may be...
Lost of a loved one, job, or illness...,
He still sets the captive free!

He has already borne our sorrows...
By His Stripes we have been healed...
O, such joy will fill our spirits
When every promise is revealed.

Satan tries to hide them from us
By fear and worries of all kind.
But Jesus made us over comers!
This promise is still yours and mine!

We can do all things through Jesus!
Whatever obstacles we face
Will disappear if we'll just let Him
Hold us in the resting place.

~~Dedicated to Kathy~~

Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer
and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known
to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding,
will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Matthew 11:28-29
“…Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will
give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle
and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my
yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
