Poetic-Verses
La Carretera
As the sun scorched the Earth,
so our shoes licked tarmac,
our brows full of sweat,
the road a hearth.
from afar we saw it,
the silhoutte of a being,
our hopes revived,
the quest almost to an end
as we neared the stage,
our tongues tasted sour,
but still we were eager,
this provoked our vigour.
His words were slow,
"the journey of life,
is a rough one,
a rough road"
