Monday Montage is an open poetry reading which meets the first Monday of each month at 7PM at the wonderful Bluestocking Bookstore on Fifth Avenue in Hillcrest in San Diego. It is a small groups of regulars but new faces are always welcome. The group has deep roots in literary San Diego. It is the continuation of the poetry group which met at the legendary Blue Door Bookstore for years before the Blue Door ended an era and closed it's doors.

The Fourth Monday of each month, I attend the Fourth Monday Program of The Men's Fellowship at First Church, Unitarian Universalist in San Diego. Again, new faces are welcome. This is a serious mens work group, although we have fun doing the "work." The mission statement of our UUMF is: "...to support men in the quest for lives of compassion, integrity, responsibility and balance. We aspire to be a caring, intentionally diverse brotherhood, committed to social justice. We offer opportunities for intimate sharing, personal growth and spiritual deepening."
