JUST PICTURES ON THE WALLMom a dark haired beauty Taken months before she died Just a young lady of fifty five She is smiling through her pain Land locked phone in her hand She would be amazed to see a cellular phone Electric typewriter by her side This woman who typed 100 words a minute Amazed to see me at my computer Rolodex and pencil in her hand Yellow tablet doing dictation shorthand I just type the words--hit publish There's me--my sister by my side I was eleven she was just seven We were closest in Mom's heart Jeri died two years ago with Mom Just pictures laying on my desk Blurred in the tears in my eyes But Mom--Jerri, see the other pictures The Grandchildren, sports, college For us the future has gone by like The electric typewriter dictation Hey Mom, men have been on the moon Reality shows have replaced Ed Sullivan Remember Mom, Bob Hope, Liberace trillions of stars are painting the skies Mere brushes entertaining the moon above For the beauty found in an Angel's eyes Never dimming passion of Eternal love God saith: Forget her as love unbourne!"
