My Pain Is My Joy
What's Missing
I listen, I speak, I think, I feel.
Searching for what's right,
In a fleeting moment from what's real.
Sirens of passion are blazing through the air.
Alarmed by all the dramatic flair.
Escaping the thoughts that leave no sense of clarity.
For love has been taken for granted apparently.
Fading from the the bliss of joy and excitement.
Keeping negative emotions from becoming heightened.
Ignoring animal instincts to lash out intensively.
Fighting for my hearts desires most aggressively.
My time clearly has come and went.
But I simply can't sit here feeling content.
Maybe I'm a second, minute or even an hour late.
Continuously fighting for what's been deemed to become great.
Searching for a reason to reverse the sands of love's hourglass.
For me without you exposes my greatest fear that I am powerless.
As your mind races, my heart paces.
As your body tingles, my soul begins to wiggle.
Together things can be so fluid.
Let's not let our love become diluted.
