God Cheated You
So many words could describe, So many feelings left to hide, The many things left unsaid, The look in your eyes, still in my head. If only you knew now The way I see things, wow. In heaven, looking down, A smile quickly turns to a frown. A bullet to the head, Killed in action, is what they said. I still can't believe you never came back, You were ambushed and under attack. I sent you an email just days before, It's a little girl for you to adore, Being a dad, you were so unsure, But you were there, ready to explore. Did you even get my email, Or didn't you have time being in hell? I know your watching down now, As I keep wondering how. I remember your words the day you went back, From that moment, everything fades to black, From the gifts you sent, The emails came and went. The news exploded in my heart, I thought no, you were so smart, You promised you would return, Given Kylee everything, together as we learned. You were one true man, Only one I've known, even without a plan, And still not a day goes by I don't scream why'd you have to die? You went back over there, I never told you I loved you Aar-bear Maybe that would have made you survive, Maybe you wouldn't have left, you'd still be alive.
