 ~REFLECTING MOMENTS~

INSOMNIA

I sit lonesome and somewhat weightless
but I am not a lonely presumption of you
I mourn with peace behind my black veil

Comfortably in a standard position
my identity shrouded in ebony lace
and I idle with outstanding reverence

Can I know your name and great sorrow
the one that glances toward my profile
trying to manipulate my state of mind

Will I scratch upon this two sided mirror
my secret turmoil and your name in trust
into another world we shall always remain

With dancing black swans and quiet crows
and a resounding mimic of a mocking bird
he shall forever speak my unspoken words

As I am and or as someone's primal fear
and I too mentally waltz with secrets
singing in tongues that God only knows

I think of you intruders all too often
as I sit here exquisite and trembling
to the sounds of my masquerade lullaby

Sleep well my darlings of destruction
here too I paint your human intention
my brush bleeds a color of scarlet red
