`~Haleakala`House Of The Sun`~`Rising Sun Chants`~`Maui Hawaii!`
10,000 ft Atop the sacred house of the sun god LA on Maui. Chants and hula are sacred offering of mana to the sun. Without the sun, there is no life.. so give a little aloha to the sun when it arises and when it sets. The Big island volcanos Mauna Loa and Mauna Kea are seen as well as cinder cones connecting Hawaii to center of Earth. Hawaii is point of creation on Earth... where new Earth is being made each day. This makes Hawaii the living breathing Pele goddess mother of the Earth. Solstices occur twice a year, when the tilt of the Earth's axis is oriented directly towards or away from the Sun, causing the Sun to appear to reach its northernmost and southernmost extremes. The name is derived from the Latin sol (sun) and sistere (to stand still), because at the solstices, the Sun stands still in declination; that is, its apparent movement north or south comes to a standstill. This is ancient heiau, temple and place of offering and prayer.
