SWEETHEART

FRACTURED HEARTS & SHATTERED HALO'S

Something went wrong in the heart of men.
Fractured or stolen, or completely broken.
Grown Cold so the story is told.

Now an ache takes that place
Where there once was the beat of a heart, is now in gloom
and once gave rise to love that once was in bloom.

Sadness and tracks of tears falling
The place of where once the hearts soul dwelling.

The Shattered Halo upon his head no longer fits
ripped away, lost soul, set adrift, dirty and stained
now he sits.

The Heart and Halo, match in shatteredness
That's the problem in this.

Stained glass shatters easy.  So does the
tin man, dent's all over tells his story.
Needs a heart, feels broken and lost at sea
His inner pain, hidden, can tell a story.

Thinks all is lost, including his heart
Can his heart be brought back to life?
Can he ever hear the beat of his heart start?

He has been searching for the answers
to unlock his heart so he may feel
alive once again. He feels like one of
the unforgiven.  He doesn't know yet,
God can set him free of his sin.

Into the arms of God, he needs to step in.
No fear should he hear or see with his
eye or mind or ear.  What he seeks, starts
there.

His halo and heart, God has placed, hidden
in good keeping. For when his wayward prodigal
son decides to look to God for all his questions
within.
