She questions : Why fall in love?
To taste the same wounds for the nth time?
I guess because you do not choose it.
Detachment, as her armor, I understand.
For every hello, there is a farewell waiting;
And for every smile, an ill-fated cry
That is written in the stars above.
Once more, to a future already designed,
She asks : How many chapters of love
Shall unfurl in this lifetime's scroll?
Women wish to only wear white
In front of the altar once; and wear black
For a memorial service once.
If karma is defined this way, then it truly is
A bitch who bites like hell.
No wonder, she is a jaded heart in this
Teeter-totter, exhausting emotional ride.
Maybe true love is one spirit in different bodies.
Ask her who her greatest love of all love is,
And she will say that each one is the greatest;
For Heaven knows how fervently she prayed
That death may not find lovers like them,
Defying a curse waiting to unfold
In every present moment, the only moment
That is real and true, she loves with her best,
Gives with her most, immortalizing memories.
What is there for her to regret?
Every smile was worth it; every loss, as well.
