a new era

Life is moving on so speedily
The ways of the world changing
Here I sit watching it unfurl
Regrets I have quite a few
But very little can I now do
The past is now a memory
A friend and also an enemy
Many thoughts bring tears
Mistakes made over the years
Some I was able to correct
Others I can but only reflect
Forgiveness is all that I can ask
As I hide behind this sinful mask
