I'm Tired I'm tired,
tired of the games they play,
tired of what the rules say,
tired of the way they lie,
while so many children die
of diseases that got a cure
their infant souls all so pure.
I'm tired of the tears,
tired no one hears
hungry childrens' empty belly cries,
and all of us under the same blue skies.
Yeah, I'm tired,
of a world so wired
at all costs to make a profit,
when they gonna get off it?
Tired of hearing bout race,
when there ain't but one human face,
and tired of God forsaken war
seems to me time to close that door.
I'm tired,
tired of the nation
callin us to battle station,
by lyin and layin down killin cash in billions
while humans die in millions
of hunger and disease,
so I can in comfort live as I please
and for a dollar eat a double cheese!
As I sit here
and down my cheek runs a tear,
even though I'm tired,
I will not get mired,
in the sadness,
not get sidetracked in the madness,
no I will fight,
on and on into the night,
for us all to live with grace,
to better share this blue ball in space.
