      Jet Lag

Get up, get up!

Our son is waiting for us.

Bleary and sleepy,

anyway I got up quickly.

Thinking to myself:

Today is very lucky.

All night un-awakened,

sleeping so sweetly.

Rushed to the bath,
flushed and washed.
Sat in the car with them,
couldn’t help but wondered.

Usually when we were out
for our morning exercise,

The sky was lighted,
clouds were white.

People and cars scarce,

streets were quiet.

Today while we drive
for a morning exercise,

The sky is dark,
even drizzle slightly.

People and cars crowded,

streets are lively.

Even the route of today

is an unfamiliar way.

Is it that we’ll go

to a new place?

The car turned and stopped

at our daughter-in-law’s house!

Is it today that we will
workout with our in-laws?

After entering the house,

I smelt of cooking aromas.

Is it that today we will

first have the breakfast?

 After a warm welcome
and some cordial greetings,
we were ushered into the room

for formal sitting and eating.

Had a look at the dining table.

Delicacies from lands and seas!

Luxurious and multifarious,

any breakfast shouldn’t be!

Suddenly I was enlightened,
but did not dare yet judging.
Asked my wife stealthily,
is now evening, or morning?
 

Of course it’s evening,
it’s supper here we are invited.

Do you sleep yourself stupid?

Cannot even know day and night!

Cannot help but to blame,
I am such a dumb-ass person.
Often when my wife talks to me,
I neither pay attention nor listen.

Cannot help but feel funny.
Am I such a dizzy-head person?

Suddenly I think it's too bad!
Tonight I’ll be sleepless again!
