Poetic-Verses
'' If You'd Opened Your Eyes ''
For years they'd strived,
Then the aliens arrived,
To take over the planet Earth,
Soon we'd know what they had contrived,
As their fleet of ships came to berth.
Confirming our worst fears,
They'd been here for years,
Concealed by those in the know,
Their plan of action would have us in tears,
World leaders they had well in tow.
Every nation,
Had sought domination,
One was as bad as the other,
Now we're witnessing the end of creation,
Because the truth they had tried to smother.
With greed they were driven,
For domination they'd striven,
But the aliens had another plan,
They knew their treachery would not be forgiven,
So their handover to us began.
Under verbal attack,
We couldn't fight back,
Because infighting between us had begun,
Destroying each other the future was black,
The aliens had us on the run.
We were soon displaced,
Self-destruction we faced,
Yet the aliens had not even blinked,
Not a word of anger from them could be traced,
Yet we were now almost extinct.
Before I die,
Please tell me why,
You sat back and watched our demise,
With preservation of life you refused to comply,
You'd have known that,
' If You'd Opened Your Eyes '
