'' After We've Been Elected ''
If they say one,
We'll give you two,
This is such fun,
It just can't be true.
Tax cuts galore,
Is a promise we'll keep?
Yes there's more,
But they'll make you weep.
Mountains of debt,
Kept hidden away,
Us in a sweat,
Someone might say.
Mass unemployment,
We say is a lie,
For your enjoyment,
Truth doesn't apply.
Tax avoidance schemes,
Arranged for our pleasure,
Creaking at the seams,
Bulging with treasure.
We love our prosperity,
For that you must pay,
For you austerity,
No you don't have a say.
Forget all those lies,
We told you last time,
Honesty never applies,
It's seen as a crime.
The sun and the moon,
We'll ensure they're yours,
Though it won't happen soon,
It's that cloud that obscures.
So have no fears,
For once we're selected,
The truth disappears,
