Mending Bridges
Solitary England
Solitary England
Sheep in need of guidance/shepherd
Poison ivy clutching stubbornly to olde cottages,
With brown thatched roofs.
Golden sunset radiating it's beauty
Reflections of times past in glistening lakes,
Amongst the lush countryside
Lakes with stones…stepping stones
To beautiful bridges,
Promising of rebirth and peace
Spring…Summer, winter, fall..
Seasons.
Solitary cottages by lakes,
Cliffs looming over the foamy wild sea.
Lush, hilly, emerald countryside,
With villages and narrow cobbled,
Paths.
Autumn, golden autumnal leaves,
Glowing woods, orange glades.
Haunted castles,
Amongst lilac heather and lucky
Purplish mauve lavender.
The gracefulness of pure white swans,
With deceivingly sharp beaks.
Then orange wilted lillies,
Bright yellow dandelions
And fields of ruby poppies,
To remember our Great dead….
Still, peaceful lakes,
Reflecting happier/peaceful times
Of long ago.
Now bridges new and olde
Building bridges promising
Of love, peace and happiness….
Sheep in need of guidance/shepherd
Poison ivy clutching stubbornly to olde cottages,
With brown thatched roofs.
Golden sunset radiating it's beauty
Reflections of times past in glistening lakes,
Amongst the lush countryside
Lakes with stones…stepping stones
To beautiful bridges,
Promising of rebirth and peace
Spring…Summer, winter, fall..
Seasons.
Solitary cottages by lakes,
Cliffs looming over the foamy wild sea.
Lush, hilly, emerald countryside,
With villages and narrow cobbled,
Paths.
Autumn, golden autumnal leaves,
Glowing woods, orange glades.
Haunted castles,
Amongst lilac heather and lucky
Purplish mauve lavender.
The gracefulness of pure white swans,
With deceivingly sharp beaks.
Then orange wilted lillies,
Bright yellow dandelions
And fields of ruby poppies,
To remember our Great dead….
Still, peaceful lakes,
Reflecting happier/peaceful times
Of long ago.
Now bridges new and olde
Building bridges promising
Of love, peace and happiness….
