Welcome to MY MANIC MIND Poetry (last updated 3/08/04) My poems displayed on this site are all unpolished, by this I mean I haven't rewritten or altered them in any way. They come into my head during extreme mood swings and I write them down straight away. This is my self-therapy, once the words are out of my head I try to just leave my thoughts at that. Hope you enjoy! Please remember that my poems reflect my thoughts at the time of writing, when my mood swings are severe. Poem: Oh my love (you finally understand me) Rating: Excellent Comments: well written 2004-02-17 Poem: Like riding this bus (my mind) Rating: Excellent Comments: this is nice...you have a talent for putting words together! 2004-02-17 Poem: coffee, pills Rating: Excellent Comments: whoah..this is strong....its simple but it is really effective! 2004-02-16 Poem: When I Meet Another Manic Bipolar (true story included at beginning of poem) Rating: Good Comments: this captures the feeling really well, or at least the one i get when both me and a friend are in a manic phase. it's excellent, we bounce ideas off of each other at a tremendous rate. the energy is there, and the frustration i get with the rest of the world being so damn slow isn't. it feels soooo good, but does have a habit of pushing us both to a higher level (which is not always so good). i love this poem, i love the others too, but this one resonates more at the moment after having just come down off a high 2004-02-16 Poem: my son Rating: Excellent Comments: this is beautiful~a really touching peace 2004-02-16 Poem: Celebration (another mania beaten) Rating: Excellent Comments: this is really strong stuff. nicely written 2004-02-14 Poem: The Gramaphone refused to stop (mind overload) Rating: Good Comments: I can see that you are a music lover. 2004-02-14 Poem: Music Serenades (my birthday party) Rating: Excellent Comments: Beautiful piece. I can almost hear the music...very good. keep on writing. 2004-01-26 Poem: The Zipper Rating: Excellent Comments: oooOOOoooh...very cool. ^_^ 2004-01-26 Poem: A Day Like Today ( should cease to exist - I am in a mixed state at time of writing) Rating: Excellent Comments: AWESOME! I love this one... =) 2004-01-26 Poem: Zoning Out ( By ''a mum') Rating: Excellent Comments: I don't read many poems like this. Very unique, gurl. ^_~ It's cool...It's like, we're sucked into your mind and get a chance to see things in your point of view...it's awesome. ^_^ 2004-01-16 Poem: Bipolar me Rating: Excellent Comments: I really liked the second to last verse in this one. I can relate. I like this poem. :D Good job. 2004-01-04 Poem: Its here again Rating: Excellent Comments: Wow. Your poems are just...wow. I'm speechless...^_^ and that's a good thing. I love them all. I can certainly relate, as I am bipolar also. Keep up the beautiful writing. I find that writing helps to contain (somewhat) my manic episodes, as well as my depressive ones. 2003-11-26 Poem: It is not my intention (poetic reply to a letter) Rating: Excellent Comments: I think unless you've experienced something it is impossible to imagine what you are going through! Almost more than that, i have only just realised that other people don't think like me, they see things differently! It was a bit of a shock, I had suspected it but believed it was something to do with me, then recently I had the notion, no, maybe it's something missing in them.
