THE MALIGNANT ALIEN By Oliver Plaice, www.PoetryPoem.com/oliverspoems Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
And as I walk along with my shadows
my thoughts trailing behind trying to catch up
the rain is falling like some malignant alien
and yet, I feel a surreal importance for being here
My feet are treading the sodden ground below me
but I feel alienated from everything that I see
shouting out makes no difference, there's no echo's
people stare with blank faces as if I don't exist…
I smile but they just pass into another dimension
seemingly leaving all afterthoughts unbelievable
moving I pass from one dimension to another
without anyone noticing this malignant alien…
