SOME SALVATION... By Oliver Plaice, www.PoetryPoem.com/oliverspoems Unlock all Features - Upgrade to Poetry Prime
I'm walking the city streets with distant memories behind me
while my shadows follow silently from the past…
as I call out to my friends for some salvation
they just throw back at me all my foreign damnation -
The love I had is now long dead and buried
I'm facing life like some stethoscope world
my brain is racing but my body's not hurried
all dreams I had have been cast and swirled…
I'm walking the city streets with distant memories before me!
taking me back to places which have been left in the past
I see eyes staring, no one beholds them. Curtains moving from left to right!
I hold out my hands in salutation to some god. My reflection on a blank wall, is cast…
