John Birkbeck was (is) a late bloomer, having not
published a poem until he was in his middle forties.
Since then, he has published, to date, five books
of poems, and has appeared in hundreds of publications
world-wide; in the USA, Canada, Great Britain,
Australia, Belgium, India, and other places.
His latest two books, still in print, are
"Longitudes" and "Homeless at Home." These can
still be ordered from bookstores and online.
There is a limited number of his "France Poems,"
which can be ordered from Carmine Creek Press,
PO Box 10075, Iowa City, IA 52240-0075 or by e-mail
at carmine@webvena.com.
His earlier books are out of print. There are no
known copies anywhere except in private libraries
or in special collections.
At present, he is working on another book of poems
but as yet has no imediate publication date set.
John is also the producer and host of a cable television show called "The Poets' Corner."
