~*Lonely Reflection!*~
In memory of my dear friend Burny.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Her feet glided across the soft, damp sand,
As the waves gently kissed the shore.
Her raven black hair flowed down her back,
As the howling wind played to the existent tune of sorrow of which she felt.
Her now empty, hollow, grey eyes had lost all beauty amongst her blanket of sadness.
The pain inside of her was as dark as the midnight sky which hung with no moon and no stars.
The longing for him to be back by her side pierced her soul with every thought.
She gazed at her reflection in the glassy water,
Her mind wandered and soon she found herself drowning in her memories of happiness.
The water rippled over her image, at once breaking her train of thoughts and hinting the power she possessed to end this torture.
As though begging her to leave this world and join his, the wave shimmered.
The moon had re-appeared through the broken dark cloud that lingered above her.
She felt hypnotised, almost robotic as she stepped into the icy cold water.
The gentle waves splashed against her body as she walked deeper and deeper into the ocean.
With every step she could feel her feet sinking lower and lower into the sand.
She could now taste the salty water as it brushed up against her lips, still she did not flinch.
Her mind, like always, was only filled with thoughts of him.
But this time it was different.
This time she was thinking of seeing his bright, loving face,
His gentle touch,
and being in his arms once more.
As the water rose to meet her cheeks, she longingly closed her eyes for the last time.
