Visions
Song at Twilight
Strolling down the road at evening,
amid fading twilight and rising of the Moon,
I heard a beautiful woman singing
an old,romantic, forgotten tune
like a Pre-Raphaelite painting
golden tresses soft and glistening
flowing o'er her slender, graceful figure,
eyes, precious emeralds, smile like dawn breaking.
I stood enraptured by her voice so rich and pure
it flowed forth as sweet as honey
rising in long reaches of glorious peaks of melody
recalling days of chivalry, daring deeds of nobility,
the long lost unbought grace of life, a lamenting threnody.
amid fading twilight and rising of the Moon,
I heard a beautiful woman singing
an old,romantic, forgotten tune
like a Pre-Raphaelite painting
golden tresses soft and glistening
flowing o'er her slender, graceful figure,
eyes, precious emeralds, smile like dawn breaking.
I stood enraptured by her voice so rich and pure
it flowed forth as sweet as honey
rising in long reaches of glorious peaks of melody
recalling days of chivalry, daring deeds of nobility,
the long lost unbought grace of life, a lamenting threnody.
