God's Unfailing Word
God's Word
like a towering peak
to Heaven ascending
while tidal waves
pound its solid cliffs
and raging storms beset it,
yet none shall move it a tiny inch
or unsettle its sure foundation!
God's Word in which there is
no shadow of turning nor variableness,
that Light of Lights,
unwavering, unflickering,unfailing,
sure and certain, our Rock and Fortress,
shining in the darkness
despite all the darkness schemes
to put it out, to obscure, to discredit,
An unfailing light, a guide, a shepherd,
to them who sit lost in the darkness
of this dark world and Satan's wiles,
above and beyond all earthly powers,
all worldly wisdom and vain pride,
quagmires of treacherous quicksand
promising much, delivering little,
God's Glorious Word abides forever
The Way, The Truth and The Life!
