Pure innocence shines
in the eyes of babies
Flawless gems: emeralds,
diamonds and rubies
The enchanting sparkle of
dewdrops in the sun
Glittering like spring water
full of frolic and fun
Where does it go when they
grow up into adulthood
The dirty world around them
makes it vanish for good
