I have been writing poetry for eight years now and I am still going at it. This is one of my many hobbies which I enjoy greatly.
I am a College graduate with a B.A. degree in studio art and soon I hope a teacher certificate. I am twenty-four years old.
I love animals and have a pet cat named Panther.He is all black. =0)
I love to read books.I read seven books a week more or less.They are all fiction but I also love books about multiple personality disorders.And I read romances too.My fav sci fie/fantasy authers are Tamora Pierce and Mercedes Lackey(Misty)who are fantasy writers.
This is for people who don't like my work or don't understand my style of writing.All my poems start out as songs, well a majority at least.I love to sing and ideas flow out through my mouth in a nice way.(My cat Panther loves it when I sing lol.)As I start to sing words come in to fit in the song then I run to write it all down.And that is how most of my poetry gets created.
My poems are easy to find they have repetition in them not all but a lot.They rhyme because I love poems that rhyme.And they have similar words that I use often because I like them.All my poems come from the heart sometimes they are influenced by things I do, read or even see.They give me lots of joy and an understanding of myself that many people don't have.
My fav poet is Jack Prelutsky.He is a childrens poetry writer.I love his collection of nightmare poems.One of my poems called Sudden Doom is based on his work.Besides him I love William Shakespear, Langstun Hughes, Edgar Alan Poe, Robert Frost, and many others.
