We visited this Atlantic island
In April two-thousand and fifteen
And toured the twenty-one square miles
Of landscape that is beautifully serene
On the nine-hundred and forty-four miles
Sailing from Miami were four 'Baseball Greats'
Ed Kranepool, Jack Billingham, Amos Otis and Stan Bahnsen
Who's Major League fame made them everyone's mates
Pink sand beaches and verdant golf courses
Make this British Territory a vacation paradise
Average year-round temperatures of seventy-six degrees
And the warmth of its people is no surprise
Bermudians have the nickname 'Onions'
Because the islanders farmed that vegetable
Renowned for its sweet taste they were exported
All over the world becoming a popular staple
This island of sixty-five thousand residents
That maintains a way of living at a slow pace
A one car per family policy and no rentals
Is host to twenty-seventeen's 'Auld Mug' Yacht Race
The oldest trophy in international sport
Was won by Emirates Team New Zealand
Twenty-six year old helmsman Peter Burling
Brought the third win for his country on this island.
