A Fleeting Thought

She traveled down
old familiar dark halls
Jagged nails trailing the
Stained crimson walls
Across her mind,
a fleeting thought
For a hungry desire
That she had sought
There was something
she should be looking for
what it was, she forgets
but it's gone forever more
For an instant, she must
have tripped, and stumbled
A cold, black heart
she must have fumbled
Didn't matter then,
and it still doesn't now
To no soul on this Earth
would she ever bow
No longer would she search
For something never lost
Mistakes that were made,
had been at another's cost
She'll tell you so many things
In the end, you'll know she lied
What she hunted, she found
It was deep down inside

Rain~
