Alternate Universes
There are bruises left in our November midnight sky
glowing evidence of when our alternate universes collided.
Were there just four times?
We have stories, like the ragamuffin dance at the end of the bar
your soft skin, my hockey hands and promises.
When the music stopped, no one else would ever know.
We pass by, strangers, amid all the cosmic whisper.
