Measure of true loveBelieve in Love as I in you. Open is the heart for a love that's true. Breathless are lovers into the night. Entangled are the bodies in dimmed light. Twisted are sheets in the morning after. Caught in our world of joyous laughter. Brightly illuminated, start my day with your dawn. The measure of true love. Love can not be weighed. Heavy is the heart when you are away. Filled with delights your smile brightens the day. Rain, you are shielded by the fiercest storms. No number of kisses can be counted. The heat builds as we are undaunted. Embraced, our breath is in harmony. Touch, the longing for ecstasy, I wait. Catch a glimpse of true love, it can be. Changed are the minds of the fallen angels. Content are the souls with glowing faces. Bent are the hands-on flowing traces. Bathed are the bodies by kisses of hungry hearts. Separated, Longing for your lover when days apart. May it last throughout our lives. Richard Orszulak . 5/25/2021 Poetry Ad-Free Upgrades Vote for this poem
