 ramblings and things

Gulf War Syndrome
They pumped them full of drugs
In combination never used before
Then, that being done,
Sent them off to war.
Weapons of mass destruction
That were never ever found
But the rumour was the rumour so
They put troops on the ground.
With Victory achieved,
Stable regime overthrown,
From that sad venture the ISIS
Criss has just grown and grown,
And with that conflict
Now years in the past
Gulf Way Syndrome
Is recognised at last.
But, many Medical records
Having  been supposedly lost,
Uncertainty of effect and treatment
Has become just another cost.
Because of our interference
The Middle East disintegrates
So why are we amazed
They regard us with so much hate.
Our leaders of the time
Continue in good health
Insulated from the facts
By their accumulated wealth.
Poor Old Tommy Atkins,
As it's been for evermore,
Is the one who bears the burden
Of a politician's war.
Gulf War Syndrome will carry on,
Probably until the last survivor is gone.
