Golden Flakes

All the times she tried so hard
Through trials filled with pain
She'd pick her will up off the floor
So tired and so drained
Her footprints could not take her
to places she desired
and although she wanted more
Her body often tired
So through warmth of sun upon her
She collected golden flakes
to lay upon your hearts to stay
and last through endless decades
The memories she made with you
will keep you when your cold
She sprinkled golden flakes of love
To hug you as you grow old
It was an ordinary day
She was robbed of goodbye
But God had special plans for her
To still her painful cries
Keep her close to you
You'll find her love in folds
Folds she filled with memories
For you to find and hold
The times she told you, I love you!
She left behind soft notes
filled with golden flakes like glitter
You now wear like a coat
