Enter Thy Mind

Death Note Dance

I can feel his eyes on my neck
His eyes examine me taking my final step
I know that this is what they call the dance of death

I can see him in the corner of my eyes
Watching, waiting to retrieve his prize
No use trying to deceive the one that is wise

I wont even dare to try and runaway
I know in my heart that I can't get away
I know that soon I will disappear one day

He leans over my shoulder watching me write
He waits for the right moment to end my life
His lips smirk knowing I won't put up a fight

His boney fingers dig into my flesh
My mind going blank with this stress
I know my life has always been nothing but a mess

I do though have one last simple regret
It's that the one reading this I haven't met
Loneliness is all that fills my scared chest

Today he got closer hugging me to him
Laughing in my ear, so sickeningly slim
I know what it means, bloody nail digging into my skin

I close my blood shot eyes, waiting to reach my end
His breath in my ear saying "its death your eldest friend"
I can feel his deathly grin, we started to descend

I could feel the air leaving my gasping lungs
Everything I saw flashing from my old years to young
Before I knew it I was floating on air, I was hung
