Welcome to the Gypsy Poet. The poems on this site are written about the dorset countryside and its people.There is a strong romany tradition particularly in the kinson canford poole and bournemouth areas of the county.I have tried to write with reference to their camp sites and traditions before they were persuaded to join the general public within the housing estates and factories which sprang up within the area.I hope that you will enjoy my poems and will visit often. Then they came for the Communists and I did not speak out because I was not a Communist. Then they came for the trade unionists and I did not speak out because I was not a trade unionist.
