VSPA Reunion 2009
The October Arizona sun rose hot We gather from a old war we had fought In a far away land for reasons not understood A trying time that took away our boyhood We left behind in the grave so many Who met the final call so bravely We the living to them now pay our homage To brothers who's faces are now just a fading image Joined once again our numbers are fewer Each fleeing moment we now hold dearer Seeking for all friendship and peace Talking of fears we have looking for a release For these few days that again we meet In this desert land with tree's of mesquite Hugs Tears and Cheers will flow naturally As we stand again as those who served proudly Old friends and new will be found As stories and tales of now and than abound Of the time we spent long ago doing our duty Now to rejoice with glee for serving our country Edwin J.
