The Love machine

It's the day before Valentines Day
And would you believe it? I'm away
Out celebrating my mates 40th Birthday
But there's something I'd like to say…

I want to tell you a ‘Matt Fact'
About how opposites DO attract
Isn't that right little cat?
Just one of the ‘special' features of a ‘Matt'

Opposites are but mere opinions
Different outlooks, different visions
For example my bathroom to me is clean
But not whilst using ‘Wilko bathroom clean'

You like me shirts I like me in T-shirts
I just like you in skirts
I ‘m careful with my money, I cal it prudent
You call it scruffy ‘Matt Student'

But with out a North or a South
Without the eyes to read the mouth
Without the Day or a night
They'd be no wind to fly that kite

You're the logic to my madness
A glow within my own sadness
And like a seed we grow and spread
And create a ‘Love Machine' instead

Love  has no end, only a start
It's not rocket science, you don't need to be smart
To see a Loves machines, missing part
What makes it breath, what calls it ‘art'

From our first meeting in Guildford All Bar One
I knew you were a special someone
Behind the anxiety and shy smile
And yes it has taken quite a while
I saw something special and unseen

That missing part of the ‘Love Machine'
