Unconscious Heaven

Take me to that place
I long to go.
I wander through
my thoughts peacefully.
I find the beauty of the
world of sleep,
as I travel through the mazes
of my unconscious self.

Waterfalls so beautiful
cascading over me.
Dancing in the moonlight
as my soul is wandering free,
Lapping up serenity
and the general hum of song,
as I find the world of blissfulness,
I'm now where I belong.

Somewhere between this world and the next.

Beyond the Splash of Ink

I know it's mad and kind of sad
but when I write it just flows free,
yet words of choice whenever voiced
are always keen to run from me.

They do not grow or have that flow
they seem to have when written down,
so when I try explaining why,
my furrowed brow becomes a frown.

And you just know I have to go
to find a keyboard or a pen.
Then suddenly my thoughts are free
and through them I can speak again.

For all these years my wasted tears
have freely run their river's fate.
Yet all the time behind that line
were methods to communicate.

I'm glad I've found my speaking ground
for now I shout in louder tones.
In silent youth, I hid the truth
and wearied out my tired bones.

But now it's here, removing fear,
I write my freedom bit by bit.
I've won my fight in black and white:
I love the taste it brought with it.

Finding Your Way.

For all the love in the world,
there is none stronger
than when you wake up every day
knowing you are alive.
Climbing hills of grandeur
with each tiny step you take,
smelling air of pleasure
as you find your own domain.

Searching for the answers
when there are none to be found,
the steady uphill walk
is what you live for.
Wonderful discoveries
inhaled by every breath,
if you allow yourself
to sense them from within.

Seeds of wisdom grow there
in the dirt which sometimes blinds you,
make a path amongst the dusty trail.
Move on past the sinking sand
and seek the greener patch;
when you find it, pitch your tent
and you can't fail.
