Good afternoon. On Monday at 2 AM I set sail for a 12 hour sea journey with my daughter and family members. This is just one journey of a 17 day sea expedition. Yes, I will return to Trinidad and to PP on 24th April, 2014.
Some have asked where I am going and where will I be. I'm here to let you all know, including you dear Kathy (smile). I will record many hours of sea travel on video and camera to share with you all.
I am going to visit a few islands. Some I've never been to. Every island has a specialty. I will visit the two islands with the birds and the butterflies. I have a home in Tobago so I will be there for a little while. Tobago is indeed a paradise and I intend to make it my permanent home one day. So yes, I will be on land but just for a little. Most of my time will be out at sea, fishing, swimming, snorkeling, relaxing. I wish I could take you all with me (smile).
Some of you have contacted me about matters concerning the Welcoming Committee. Please rest assured that as soon as I am back from my vacation, I will attend to these for you all.
My acknowledgements: There are so many of you all to acknowledge. I have made so many beautiful and wonderful friends here since I joined PP in 2011. Thank you to all of you who have written to me; Elena (thepoetess), Clara, Fredis, Moonstasrandsun, Stethorne, Mandrita, Godisnowhere, Tots, Semaj (thezespokenwordz), Vera, Wordrider, and the list goes on and on. Please have me excused for not listing all but please know in your heart that I consider you all very much and will do much replying and contacting when I return.
I will like to acknowledge some of the senior/elderly/longstanding poets. I leave my respect and best regards to and with you all; Ginger, Janet, Doris, Kathy, Annette, Dandy, Terry (alwaysawarrior), Rich Carlton, Elsie and Kris.
A note: Where I'll be, in spite of having the most modern equipment, I may not be able to access the internet at all times and for any long period. Dearest Elsie, when it's possible, I will send you emails from time to time to let you know how we're doing. I will miss you all very much; my great, grand and loving Poetry Family.
