Thank you dear Doris for asking for special prayers for me at your church. Thank you also Sandy, Terry, Ellie. George Platt and Robert Haigh for your kindness and your prayers. I think I mentioned that I have skin cancer, not feeling very comfortable, but doing everything I can to follow doctor's orders. I'm sure you also understand that this problem is nothing by comparison to the pain I felt losing my sons Steve and Ronnie as well as wonderful Milt, who was the love of my life for many years. I think I also mentioned that I am Jewish and so were Milt and my sons Stevie, Bruce and Alan. Ronnie had converted to Christianity several years before he died and he told me about it before he had a liver transplant about 15 years before he passed away. I did everything I possibly could to help him, including arranging for priests and prayer groups to be with him, his friends, and our family including me -- until just a week before he died, when he cried in my arms and thanked me when I told him the priest was on his way. Yes, I prayed with my rabbi many times, asking God to help Ronnie. I couldn't live if I didn't understand that a good God is watching over all of us, but He is not responsible for the losses that occur in our lives. I thank God for giving me a wonderful large family and friends who are with me to support me when these losses occur. I do the same for my friends and family and despite these losses and the horrors that occur in this modern world of ours, God is with us giving us the strength to survive and to overcome. I know, my dear poetry friends, that He is watching over all of us. I love you. Annette
