God has been and is my constant companion throughout this ordeal with skin cancer. When the going gets tough, the tough get going! -- and this happens frequently -- He guides me by telling me exactly what to do -- and I, with the help of my wonderful opthalmologist, internist, and two amazing dermatolgists, carefully carry out His plan. I had glaucoma surgery about ten years ago and was doing well until this past autumn, when I lost a great deal of sight in my left eye. Thanks to my opthalmologist, my vision is back to normal. I also suffered from horrible itching on some of the lesions and my dermatologist took care of that with two injections. Less than two weeks ago, I had a basal cell carcinoma in my knee removed by my dermatologist, and 40 stitches were required. It is healing beautifully. I had a haircut yesterday and posted photos on Facebook. Because doctors advised me not to use any chemicals in my skin, hair or diet, my hair and skin look great. There's still more work to be done but, at the ripe old age of 86, I'm on my way back to good health. And I know that my sons Steve and Ronnie, together with my precious Milt, are looking down at me and smiling! God is with us and God is good! Bless you my friends for caring. Love, Annette
