The Ravens are proud to announce that alternate Captain "99 Ryan Donlan, Woodinville Wa, was recognized as a star of the week by the United States Premier hockey league for his performance this weekend against the West Sound Warriors. The USPHL is a nationwide Junior hockey league that has produced more than 500 college Hockey players in the last two years alone. including Hobey Baker award winner Jack Eichel and Jimmy Vesey.
Playing in the USP3HL Pacific division, Donlan notched 1 goal and four assists in a weekend sweep as a defenseman,"Hockey is a team sport and I have to give credit to my teammates,"Said Donlan,"They are the ones who put those pucks in the net. The important thing is we got two wins."
Donlan came to the Ravens organization last year as a 16 year old with an outstanding work ethic and knack for making plays. He had continued to grow as a player in the Ravens' "Development first" approach and has raised his game to a whole new level. Last season he was named the Ravens' Scholar-athlete of the year.
Coach Adam Kurtenback said,"This just goes to show what hard work produces. Ryan has stepped up the offensive side of his game and been a spark plug for us."
The Ravens are grateful for the honor the league has bestowed upon Ryan who develop outstanding young men who play high level hokey like Ryan Donlan. That's what we do.
And yes Grandpa is proud. For his talent and humbleness./Dandy
