NEWS: The old poems have been taken off, keep checking for new postings. A book on the old poems, "Melodies From Silent Thunderstorms" is now available at LULU.com, please purchase a copy. New poems will be available soon in "Bitter Pills, Just Swallow". Zimbabwe, once called Rhodesia, the country that I hail from, is a beautiful country, with beautiful people. It is the country that, on it's Independence, gave hope to Southern Africa. It showed that, after all the fighting in a war, different races could live together in harmony. As much as it pains White Zimbabweans, that they have lost land and investments, it pains Black Zimbabweans that their former oppressors,(of the white race) haven't embraced the new reality of Zimbabwe. They have stayed aloof, separating themselves economically and socially. Not all, but most of them. The History of colonization, just like slavery, is a pain to every black person, who has learned to love his blackness. We cannot take back what history has given us, but if we look to the future with compassion, listen to each other's pains,,,we will get to a better place. We fought for our own liberation, we stood up for the liberation of South Africa, then Mozambique, then the Democratic Republic of Congo. All I can say is "Come on Zimbabwe, we can do it again, and better this time. Let's not forget the fight against AIDS, we can do it, lets stop the madness, love is all we have. The Orphans, let's find a way for them to survive..... I am happy to say the latest of my poems have been written in Zimbabwe, where I am staying now, no place like home. PEACE
