NEWS: Do you know what it's like to go through life searching into the depths of your past like it's a stack of baseball cards? Knowing one player among all the others is the one who will take you to the World Series. When the stars align themselves, when the cards fall into place and all you have to do is sit with an open mind. All you need is a trusting heart, and a sense of adventure braided with fate. You have to stop being afraid of the storybook ending that can exist if you let it. The future holds many possibilities my pen and paper will always follow. Life changes everyday, and everything happens for a reason - certain people are meant to leave. The road is usually un-paved and most turns you end up taking are not on the map you hold within your hands. I am an HIV positive single mother blogger living in So Cal. I am currently writing a memoir.
ABOUT: I've been writing since 1992, when I was at the ripe old age of 14. I was a writer & editor for my high school newspaper. I was also an editor & writer for my high school literary magazine. In 9th grade I wrote a one act play that was read on TV through a program called The Playwrights Project in San Diego. I was published in Parade Magazine's Fresh Voices column in November of 1996, and broke their record for the most letters in response to a Column. I was an editor and writer for my college newspaper for 3 years. I won 3rd place, in an on the spot editorial competition at a college journalism convention in 2000.
