ABOUT: My name is Jennifer House and I'm 30 years old. I've been writing poetry since the 8th grade when my 13-year old mind decided that things that rhyme are fun to write. My first poem was published with the encouragement of my mom and dad when I was 15 years old on the old poetry.com site. My grandmother, who was so proud of me, bought the book that held my poem and gave it to me as a gift for Christmas that year. Fifteen years later, I write for the joy of it, to push myself further and explore my feelings and what I observe in everyday life. My children and life in general give me my inspiration and I'll be adding new poems on a regular basis.
