ABOUT: Born in the Appalachia mountains among song writers and story tellers, I learned at an early age about the beauty of words, how they are made to fit together like a jigsaw puzzle when they are placed in just the right way and to recognize the beauty of words when they are put together correctly. Raised about 50 miles from Abingdon VA, the Carter family was relatives on my mothers side and Ralph Stanley was and is still our neighbor. My nephew married Ralph's daughter and they have one son. Of course the mountains are a part of the inspiration for any artist who has eyes to see, ears to hear and the wisdom to know that God must spend some of his free moments there, just to enjoy what he has created. To us there is "The Mountains" and then there is the rest of the world. My words and my work are dedicated to those mountains. It is my hope that you will leave messages about your thoughts on my writing so I will know what people like to read. It means nothing to the world if we write, but only that we write something that another person reads and are effected by the words. Please tell me what you think.
