NEWS: I was born and raised in Nashville where I lived for 32 years before moving to Hawaii.I spent 2 1/2 years on the island of Oahu.Unfortunately,due to reasons beyond my control I had to leave Hawaii in 2006.I currently reside in the suburb of Nashville called Mt.Juliet.I started writing poetry about 10 years ago after forming what is now the best friendship I've ever had.His name is Doug and even though the miles come between us we are still the closest of friends.I invite you to critique my poems.Any feedback is appreciated.I also have a book titled "The Search".It is available on Lulu.com for $9.95.
ABOUT: Music was my life until I contracted a very painful form of arthritis called Ankylosing Spondilitus.Then about 5 years ago I contracted a type of cancer called Keratoacanthoma.Needless to say these are life altering conditions.I am no longer able to play drums,guitar,bass or keyboards.So,I am very thankful that I still have poetry.Some have said my poetry is dark and depressing.Let me just say that all my poetry stems from personal experience and even though it may be dark it is honest.Please take them for what they are which are PAST experiences and have little to do with the present.My past helps keep me where I am today and it also reminds me of my mistakes--mistakes I hope not to repeat.I hope those who read my poems will say "Yes,I understand this." Maybe it's something that applies to your own life.That is my ultimate goal.Thank you for reading.
