NEWS: Hi everyone........been gone a long time.......done alot of living not all of it good.......will be posting more poems in the future that I am sure will reflect that seeing as writing is my therapy! To date I've had about 16 poems published. Working at more...... I have written several children's short stories......undecided as to what to do with those yet but I'll get there. Just found out I'm one of the poets featured in a new anthology, each poet will have a full page devoted to their poetry. Some anthologies that I have been published in....... ABOUT: I started writing at an early age. Won my first award in the sixth grade in a county wide essay contest. I later started writing poetry, it was a way to deal with a lot of turmoil in my life. It became my therapy in keeping my sanity. I write from the heart....its nothing fancy...........just feelings. Hope you enjoy what you read.....as I have loved writing most of it. Of course...all times weren't good and I have dealt with heartache.........through my poetry again. Enjoy! I'm a 45 y/o divorced mother of 4. My baby is already almost 23, and I am a grandma to 8. Seems everytime I turn around life hands me things I'm not quite prepared for, but with faith and hope for better things I keep going.......I've found life is too short to not enjoy, so I try to make the best of it no matter what. If you can at least smile through your tears then things seem a little better. I was diagnosed with HIV in 2007, I've learned to appreeciate life now more than ever!!
