I thought that once I started typing my collection of poems that they would be kept in the order in which I posted them, but that isn't the case...so they will be listed from my most recent work back. Hi, my name is Penny Lynn Choate. I was born and raised in a small town in Louisiana. I am 39 yrs.old.Born December 22nd of 1964.I have been writing poetry since the age of twelve. I believe that it is a God given talent. It also has a therapeutic value to me. It has been my saving grace many times. I have written on many subjects and for alot of people, who have told me to share it with others. My ultimate dream has been to be published someday. To touch the lives and hearts of countless people. I would like to thank my family for their relentless appreciation of my poetry,and ambition to write. My dad, Ray,who has taught me many things...among them...inner strength, my mother,Barbara who is gone from life only,my eldest sister Jan, who is like a little spiritual being that flutters around,my sister Annette, who shares her constant praise by getting the chills,my sister Deanna, who has inspired me through the years,my brother Tommy, who shares the most recollection of our past experiences,my baby sister Wendi,who continues to be the bright spot in my life,who never lets me give up,who helps me see things in a better way,my brother Tim who has always shown his heart wide open. To my children... my son Chantz, and my daughter Blaise, thank you both for the learning experiences thus far.I love you both high to the sky,down to the ground,to the moon and back...I love you! A major part of my life has been shared with "My Friends of Bill W." Who have taught me how to love unconditionally,and helped me learn how to live one day at a time. To Louis and Ann Caro I thank you both for never giving up on me. It is my intent to express every emotion that stirs within me.To reach out and touch the man of my dreams (whoever he may be.)My hope is that his eyes fall upon my writings and they reach his purest understanding, gain his deepest trust,and helps reveal the innermost desires of his heart...to overwhelm him,and keep him amazed....a wonderful state to be in.
