 News

Oddly enough folks, someone's decided to have a line of fragrances named after me. Yup yup, 'tis absolutely true. Though I must confess, I do suspect the impetus might have come from somewhere else, hehehe! Here's the web-address for anyone wishing to check it out: http://www.ilarinyc.com/ All-righty then! Actual news relating to this site. I have recently (2 min ago) re-arranged my entire repertoire into the order it should have been in the first place. I blame sloth for not having done it earlier. In any case, as I may or may not have explained earlier (probably not) the material in this site represents my book: "Whispers" in its entirety, up to now I have been more interested to edit the individual parts instead of the whole, thus justifying the chaos my stories have been in. However, now they have been arranged in accordance to the whole, so related ones are next to each other for easy reference and so on. Let me know what you think!! Cheerio! Tally-Ho! Jibbedy-jabbedy and so on... Wohou! To whomever was the poor soul, I inexplicably (I may have been involved) managed to send the following confounding and incredible phrase/comment (I MAY, have been drunk at the time): "Mayhap, Lucky Sap". It simply means; Maybe - It'll happen, you (or he/she/that/etc.) Lucky Sap (or Chap) as opposed to the phrase "Poor Sap", which is NOT so good, trust me on this one.... Eh! Sorry, I'm a European, you know(DOH!)... And that particular handicap seems to have become an impediment in making myself properly understood. No OTHER news in particular, only an advertisement of sorts... Those of you, who like Hip Hop, pls. check out this site (No, it's not my thing. But I know the culprit): http://www.kitchenerio.com/ The author of this site denies any involvement in, with or otherwise (hence hoping to evade possible prosecution or other consequences of your linking up with the above-mentioned maniac)... Good Luck! Pax Vobiscum!

About The Author:    -- Writers keep all copyrights.

Ah well, wondering through life - Aimless. A few thoughts that might bind. My soul, being with thine... Name: Ilari Rahja E-mail: ilari.rahja@suomi24.fi Sign: Firehorse. Other info will be made available, err - As soon as I think of anything substantial (or even remotely interesting) to add... Dunno, nothing comes to mind right now... Oh yeah, was supposed to come up with something new... Oki doki then, My short-story: Was born in Finland to a military family, got moved around a lot as kid for that (Note to prospective kids: Avoid military - And any families associated with it, NOT cool!). Also ended up there myself - Eventually (as do all Finnish males, we have a draft, DOH!). Became a devoted pacifist afterwards (strangely, wars have a lot less appeal if ya have to fight them yourself - Go figure?). Went to technical college and graduated, traveled and went to US, learned English of sorts. Went to commercial college and graduated, still no work, went to Germany and learned German of sorts. Got fed up and went to Switzerland for yet another college - For Hotel Management, better known as "IMI" (a thundering, ominous echo here...). Graduated again! Sigh! Bought an airplane ticket to London to look for a job but inexplicably exchanged it for one to Manila at the last minute - I blame unclear spelling / temporary insanity (Oh, it's in the Philippines - Asia, for those who don't know). Wanted to look for some lost friends there - Around China, Singapore, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Indonesia as well, found some - Lost some. Spent there too many a year (Err, well - 10, to be exact)... Saw it through 3 presidents, 2 resurgent civil wars (or I don't know, maybe they never stopped in the first place), 1 revolution, 5 serious tribal wars (I mean, S.E.R.I.O.U.S - They chopped people's heads off!), half-dozen attempted coups and witnessed some 19 odd "suicides" where the victim managed to shoot himself 3 (or more) times through the head. Oh well, of course, with the exception of one "tough-guy", who apparently managed to stab himself 21 times onto the back (on a public bus-station), 6 of those times lethal (and in places an acrobat couldn't reach, for sure) - In front-of 26 witnesses, no-less??? (6 of them our own, indomitable security guards). Hell, brazen and clear suicides I say!!! Yea, the police investigation concluded that - Contrary to the evidence of my own eyes, however lacking a suicidal mind I failed to speak up in kind. Hehe! The oddest one could've been a neighbour of mine, who apparently managed to shoot himself 2 times through the mouth, then (having killed himself) dispose of the gun, climb inside a brick-kiln, close the oven doors, fire it up (From inside the oven?!) and burn all the remaining evidence (himself)...!? WOW!!! Talk about bein' tough... Yea, the local chief of police told me that (While managing to keep a straight face???). I Didn't wanna ask too many questions though.... Strange! Yaada Daada! Suicides all the same. Trust your friendly local official, I always say... Lost 4 friends dead - And 21 employees... I lived, CURSES! And still - Found something better, more than I ever could have expected... NOPE!! I'm not kiddin'! And why do I write?? Hmm, just wanna reach for some grace - I guess, exorcise a few demons along that way. Next time, I'll think of adding something actually interesting... Well Ok then, our heroic saga continues: I recently decided to go work in DUBAI, of all places. Joined a writer's forum there for the purpose too. Then went on ahead and purchased an airline-ticket (one-way, of course) to DUBLIN, Ireland! Ehh! Oh fine, might just as well... They spell nearly the same, so maybe it won't be so bad (just don't tell any of the Irish I said that). Hmmm... Do you see a pattern emerging here? Anyways, I'll be staying with the leprechauns for a while now and hope to keep ya posted on further developments on my lunacy. Hopefully I won't have to overnight at the central bus-station again. YES, I was here before and just my luck U2 was having a mega-concert and consequently the entire country was booked solid.... DAMNATION!!! I'm wishing for better lodgings this time, as I might have to stay for a few more years...
